Portraiture
Christine can draw and paint any creature; you can see examples in the other galleries. She has chosen to focus on horse portraiture mainly because of her love for horses and her lifelong ambition of representing them in art.
If you would like more than one subject in the portrait the price will increase by 20% per additional subject. This includes people, and if you have any other ideas of what you would like in your portrait please ask Christine about pricing.

How it Works
1. Find a Photo
Christine will need a good photograph to paint your portrait from. You can either supply a photograph by mail which will be returned with the artwork, or you can email a digital file. Christine can also come to your horse to get a photo if its not too far away; call or email for info.
If you're not sure if the photo will be good enough, or if you can't decide on one and would like her opinion, please send the images to Christine and she will be happy to offer suggestions.
2. Decide on Medium/Size/Budget
Please consider the Price List for Portraiture. These prices are based on the amount of time Christine expects it will take to finish the project according to size and medium. Larger portraits will have more detail and so take longer to complete. Colour is another factor; Christine has found that when she works in black and white she can work faster because she only has to focus on light values, and colours take longer to mix properly.
3. Contact Christine
Once you have decided on what you would like, call or email Christine to schedule your job. If you have any questions or concerns that need to be addressed please let her know and she will try her best to do so.
4. Fill Out the Artwork Order Form
When you contact Christine she will send you a form to fill out which asks for your personal information, the specifications of the artwork you would like done, and pricing info that you must sign and return before the job is begun. This will act as your invoice for the job and will be returned with the artwork.
5. Pick-up Artwork/Have it Couriered
When your artwork is completed you will be contacted by Christine. Depending on how far away you live from Christine's studio you can have your artwork delivered by courier, pick it up or she will deliver it herself. You will recieve your order form with the completed artwork at which time payment is due. If the artwork has to be couriered you will have to pay for shipping charges which will be added to your bill or collected on delivery.
What you can and can't do with the Artwork
You can resell the original artwork if you like or gift it to someone else. You can not reproduce the artwork in any way. Christine retains the rights to the original artwork unless she explicitly sells them. She has the right to reproduce the artwork unless it is agreed that she will not. She may post the artwork on her site for other people to see.
